Aim
To promote campaigns and public advocacy actions that strengthen the digital democratic ecosystem and guarantee favorable environments for pro-democratic actors in Latin America and the Caribbean, through:

Advocacy training on digital agendas. Technological change is not inevitable: it can be shaped. But doing so requires more than reactive efforts. It demands a rebalancing of power between civil society, regulators, and large technology companies. POLIS addresses some of the biggest challenges civil society organizations face today in defending digital rights.

POLIS supports advocacy campaigns targeting local governments and joint regional action before multilateral organizations. Instead of working separately or reacting to the latest crisis, POLIS helps organizations develop long-term strategic approaches that shift the power dynamics with large technology platforms and regulators.
